Abstract
A self-reflexive essay on body-centered research and performance methodologies in the context of Türkiye and the UK for the special issue of Feminist Tahayyül: Feminist Çalışmalarda Duyguların Tahayyüllü (Affect in Feminist Studies). The essay reflects on the process of my PhD research, "Virginity as Performance: A Practice-based Inquiry on (female) Embodiment and Memory in Contemporary Turkey and Beyond" (University of Exeter, 2020) with field notes and photographs from the workshops and interviews.
