Abstract
This chapter explores the complexities of our embodied research practice: Mus(e)Dance. Through the autoethnographic subjective lens that is performance duoethnography, we use reflections from the process along with responses received in relation to our performances, notably our plenary session at Talking Bodies 2023. We detail our collaborative creative process, how our work manifests in performance and how these combine to ensure compositional and choreographic developments occur in every subsequent manifestation. This chapter provides insight into a creative process which relies on women’s intuitive knowledge and lived experience. This process places embodied practice, narrative connections, notions of ‘becoming’ and authentic audience experiences at its core
