Abstract

The contents of this slide deck were created during a Hackathon event at the University of Sheffield in June 2026 that brought together 26 researchers and research-supporting professionals from 15 UK universities to collaboratively develop training materials on the topic of open research in the arts, humanities and qualitative social sciences. This event was made possible by a small grant from the University of Sheffield's Open Research Champions scheme. Key resources drawn on during this session included the MORPHSS Catalogue of Open Research Practices in AHSS, the UKRN Open Research Across Disciplines resource, and the UKRN Open Qualitative Research Primer.
