Claire Hind Has an internationally established body of practice-led research. Known and celebrated for her creative collaborations. She is an international performer, creative and critical writer and publishes in the field of theatre and performance in the diverse and distinct areas of Death and Play, Walking Arts Practice, Writing and Intermediality. Claire's creative methodologies: (conceiving, writing, playing and performing), are world renowned practices that are used and foregrounded at world leading arts institutions, because they come with a critical reflection process named The Death Drift/ Drift Drive (DD/DD), as contextualised in her co-authored book (with Gary Winters), Embodying the Dead, Writing, Playing, Performing, Macmillan International. Claire has developed a consistent and reputable international creative research profile at renowned public arts venues the UK, USA and Europe. Namely at the The Defribrilator Gallery Chicago, FLUX Factory New York, The Freud Museum London and Tate Modern, London. She makes rich connections between research and teaching, and has and international teaching profile namely at the School of the Arts Institute Chicago and the Norwegian Theatre Academy where she has taught Performance Writing to students on the Acting programme and mentored MA students. She was recently academic lead for a three year Norwegian Artistic Council funded research programme with Partners The Norwegian Theatre Academy on the project Infinite Record, Archive, Memory, Performance that produced seminars and a in the UK, Germany, Norway accumulating in a conference at MIT, USA. Claire has a 9 year collaboration with the artist Gary Winters who is the co-artistic director of the critically acclaimed Theatre company Lone Twin and a 7 year collaboration with walking Artist and Founder of the Walking Artists Network Clare Qualmann.
