Jules trained as a contextual fine artist, and her work occupies the space between fine art (the object) and performance (the living body). Over the past 20 years Jules has made, and facilitated others to make, work drawn from lived experience producing a diverse range of performance and art works with, for and by various communities throughout Britain, most notably working with veterans, witnesses and survivors of WW2 with her long term artistic collaborator David Richmond (see under David Richmond for more).
Jules has consistently delivered widening participation projects at YSJU involving young people, international students, and BME peoples in York. Currently Jules co-delivers on the Schools Project with Rachel Conlon, which sees level 2 theatre students deliver a series of workshop
