I am a Lecturer in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics at York Saint John University. I have taken on the role of Module Director for the following modules: New Testament Studies (Level 5),Philosophy and Religion (Level 4),Religion in the Public Sphere (Level 6),Spirituality in Public Life (Masters),The Changing Face of Religion in Society (Masters),The Story of the Bible (Level 4),Values and Virtues: Ethics and Religion (Level 4) and World Christianity (Level 4). I am also Lecturer for Matters of Life and Death (Level 5) and a Dissertation Supervisor (Level 6 and Masters). My previous teaching posts were: Module Leader for Religion, Politics and Society for the University of Leeds Arts and Humanities Foundation Year; Lecturer for Professional Studies, University of Leeds Centre for Lifelong Learning; Tutor for Systematic Theology, University of Chester; and Postgraduate Teaching Assistant, University of Leeds (Tutoring on modules: Key Texts in Theology and Religious Studies, Religion in Modern Britain, Theology and Ethical Theory and The Religious Mapping of Leeds). Other posts I have held include: University of Leeds Researcher on an evaluation of a project for the third sector group ‘Near Neighbours’; Research Support Intern for the University of Leeds Centre for Religion and Public Life; and I have worked previously in local government and retail management. I have held a large number of voluntary roles including: Chair of the National Campaigner Committee of the Fairtrade Foundation (Jan 2019 – present); Auditor of the social accounts for Shared Interest; Coordinator of Fairtrade Yorkshire (2010 – 2019); Activist representative on the Oxfam Climate Change Equation; and Member of the Association of Oxfam [part of the governing body of Oxfam GB].
