Biography:

I am a lecturer in Korean and Applied Linguistics. My research revolves around sociolinguistic workplace and organisational discourses in studying the complex and emergent nature of social and ideological processes at work. I adopt an interdisciplinary approach drawing on sociolinguistics and management studies to investigate language-related real-life issues in the multinational workplace and provide practical frameworks to help improve professional communication at workplace. Previously, I worked as a postdoctoral research associate in International Management at Loughborough University London and worked on an ESRC-funded multidisciplinary project, 'Globalizing Actors in Multinational Companies'.

Qualifications:

I was awarded a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Warwick an MSc in Language Teaching from the University of Edinburgh. My PhD research examines how organisational problems are discursively constructed and solved in and through social interaction.
