I am a Lecturer in Media and Film and games researcher in the School of Humanities.
I’m originally from Australia and after completing my PhD I lectured at Adelaide University.
My work investigates how mainstream gaming negotiates romance and social intimacy. My most recent publication Romance in the Digital Game explores representations of digital intimacy in broader gaming cultures. I’ve also researched more broadly into game studies, feminine play, emergent narrative, audience studies, and interactive feminism.
Beyond researching games, I also work with 3D software and enjoy experimenting with design in game engines.
