Professor Pauline Kollontai is Professor Emeritus of Higher Education in Theology and Religious Studies. She was previously the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Education and Theology (2006-2013) and until 2022 was the Director for the Centre for Religion in Society (CRiS) at YSJU. Pauline worked previously at the University of Leeds in the School of Adult Education and at the University of Bradford in the Department of Peace Studies. Her academic qualifications are in the disciplines of Peace Studies and Theology and Religious Studies. In November 2023 she was appointed as a Fellow of Wesley House College, Cambridge. She is a Co-Editor of the Routledge book series, Religion Matters: On the Significance of Religion in Global Issues. In 2018 she was selected to be one of the International Resident Scholars at the Centre for Theological Inquiry at Princeton, USA, to be a member of the Resident Research Seminar Programme Team on 'Religion and Violence' from January - May 2019. She regularly presents at national and international conferences, consultations and symposiums. Since 2008 Pauline has also taught at Meijii University Tokyo; Presbyterian College and Theological Seminary in Seoul, South Korea; and at Kaye Academic College of Higher Education, Be'er Sheva, Israel.
