Dr Francis Chukwuedo Achi is the Deputy Associate Dean for Management Studies at York St John University, London Campus. He previously taught Marketing at Edinburgh Napier University Business School, UK and was a Lecturer in Department of Business Administration and Marketing at Delta State University, Nigeria. Francis holds a BSc in Marketing (First Class Honours)from Delta State University. He also received his MSc in Marketing and PhD in Marketing & International Business from Edinburgh Napier University. He was awarded external funding for his PhD research on Foreign Direct Investment in Emerging African Market. His research interests fall within the areas of FDI in Emerging African Markets, Market Entry Strategies, Branding, CSR, SMEs in Emerging Markets and Services Marketing. He has (co-)authored a number of book chapter publications, conference papers and journal articles. His research has been presented at international conferences, seminars and doctoral colloquia including those organised by the British Academy of Management (BAM), Academy of International Business (AIB) and Edinburgh Napier Business School Annual Conferences. An award-winning educator and researcher,Francis was recognized as the Inspirational Staff Member for 2024 at York St John University. This is a testament of his efforts in inspiring students to reach the height of their academic potential. Francis has experience of course leadership roles in the UK and overseas. He currently serves as the Deputy Associate Dean for Management Studies and Semester/Course Lead in the MBA programme at York St John University London Campus. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and holds membership in the British Academy of Management (BAM), the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
