I am a speech scientist working across phonetics, speech acquisition, and applied speech technology, with a particular interest in how data‑driven approaches can deepen our understanding of human communication. My academic background spans over two decades of teaching and research in phonetics, multilingual speech development, and applied linguistics, and I have recently strengthened my technical profile with an MSc in Data Science (Distinction). My research focuses on how people learn, perceive, and produce speech, and how these insights can inform speech therapy, speech technology, and language‑learning applications. I have contributed to UK and EU‑funded projects, supervised postgraduate researchers, and published on phonetic pedagogy, bilingual speech timing, and clinical phonetics. I am currently expanding my peer‑reviewed output in areas that bridge acoustic analysis, computational methods, and applied speech science.
