Biography:

I have been part of the academic team at York St John University since 2017. Previous to this I have 28 years of clinical experience in the NHS and private practice. Of this, 25 years have been spent specialising in musculoskeletal (MSK) practice with significant experience as an Extended Scope Practitioner and for the last 7 years as a Consultant Physiotherapist providing expert practice and clinical leadership for a large MSK service. My extended clinical skills include MSK injection therapy and the use of Ultrasound Imaging as a guidance tool for injections.

Qualifications:

My previous NHS experience also includes service development, service tendering and working on a number of projects with the CSP developing national MSK strategy. I completed my PhD in 2018 exploring the decision-making process between MSK Extended Scope Practitioners and their patients.
