Prior to joining York St John University, I graduated with a first-class BA (Hons) degree in Sport and Leisure Management from the University of Salford and both an MSc in the Sociology of Sport and Exercise and a PhD at the University of Chester. Having worked as a visiting lecturer at the University of Chester, I joined York St John University as a lecturer in 2014. I am currently Senior Lecturer in Business and Management in York Business School at York St John University and Programme Leader for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) postgraduate degree programme. I am also an active member of several research groups within York St John University and am Co-Chair/Co-Founder of the People in Employment Settings (PiES) Research Group. Beyond the University, I am also a member of the Executive Committee for the Leisure Studies Association.
