In recent years, there has been increasing amount of literature on workplace ethics and ethical behaviour. Several studies have focused on how workplace ethics have become a prime factor that shapes many organisation's principles, moral standards, and decision-making processes especially, as it relates to the promotion of trust and positive reputation. Recent evidence from previous studies suggest that ethical work climate provides the conducive environment needed to promote organizational citizenship behaviours, loyalty, employee commitment, retention and job satisfaction. This emphasizes the significant role of human resources in the promotion of ethical work climate and ethical behaviours. This empirical chapter will advance our understanding and contribute to knowledge by exploring the impact of HRM practices in encouraging and promoting ethical work climate within the Nigerian public sector. This exploration will be conducted through interviews of participants within selected organisations.
