Abstract

Trying to do things perfectly is laudable. However, when anything less than perfection becomes unacceptable to us, it can quickly become debilitating. The relationship between perfectionism and burnout will be explained along with the findings of recent research on the topic and the virtues of aiming to do things well (but not perfectly).
