Abstract

Notes from my talk delivered at the International Communications Data and Digital Forensics conference, Heathrow, London 2018.

It is logical to seek to utilise pervasive technologies in investigative contexts, especially when high risk factors are involved. However, what are the danger of the use of such technology when it comes to how it effects the day to day experience of citizens daily life? One the one hand technology always changes society, so the fact that it does this is not a good enough reason not to utilise such technologies. However, what are the important things we should be seeking to preserve in terms of human experience, when it comes to deployment of such technologies?
