Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to set out how the career orientations and preferred career paths of Third sector managers in the UK were examined using a qualitative approach. Through a case study of individual managers? working in the Third sector, this study examines the relationship between the identified career orientations of managers and their preferred career path. It explains the data collection methods and how attention was given to the relevant ethical issues during data collection. Also it presents how data were transcribed and processed for analysis.
