Abstract

Our research aim is to create a ‘live’ exchange of enterprising innovations currently embedded in curricula within the Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries (FACI) at the University of Sunderland, to bridge current gaps that exist when communicating and sharing good practice.

Despite positive outcomes and initiatives surrounding enterprise, there is evidence to suggest, from focus groups with colleagues across the faculty, that there are challenges to our practice highlighted through disparate areas of ‘joined-up’ thinking. The Exchange offers a solution in the form of an accessible pedagogical innovation. We identified scope to have a more cohesive approach to sharing enterprising activities within the curriculum through a better exchange of pedagogical practices. Thus, we are in the process of creating an Exchange which asks, ‘in what ways can entrepreneurship education be exchanged to enhance active learning practices?’

Our proposed Exchange aims to:

• Navigate challenges in embedding enterprise in the curriculum.
• Share practical guidance to support colleagues in embedding enterprise.
• Embed industry practices, collaborations, and innovations.
• Enhance cross-subject collaborations and innovations.
