Abstract
When was the last time that you played a game with other people? I am going to assume it was somewhat recently, given that you’re reading a book about what board games mean to people. I’m also going to hazard a guess that you were sat around a table, with some friends or family, and that while you were playing you were focused on the game and the interactions you were having with the other people you were playing with. For that brief period, most other thinghappening around you might have slipped away and become less important than what you were doing.
