A performance in which physical, gestural and sculptural actions are arranged around the task of kissing. The performance is creating a relationship between queerness and police brutality, in the context of 1980s and perceived ideas of 'safety' during the AIDS crisis.

Queer is the opposite of police. I wanted to say that but I couldn’t, so strong the feeling for police as inherently good was, but in the darkness of my stomach I knew I was queer and the police was not. When did police service become police force? I want to tell you that when we dress in black together
we become night, that we spread and blend and we look like each other. Queer is the opposite of police because police is not only not queer but police is state violence, abuse of power, coercive control and body control.

The performance was a direct response to the abstract for '1984/85 A Symposium of Art & Politics', June 17, 2025. Co-Organised by Professor Vanessa Corby & Associate Professor James Cooper, York St John University.
