Abstract
Nathan Walker's visual poem 'Ridge' published in the inaugural issue of Alterity Journal from the Centre for Alterity Studies and published by Corbel Stone Press.
Ridge explores an idea of the mountain range speaking: "In the literature of walking, the descriptions of routes and the stories of discovery and height we nd always a body attempting to move across, through, and over. In order to read these texts we must do the same. In order to hear the landscape we must navigate a linguistic terrain" (Walker 2017).
The Centre for Alterity Studies (CFAS) is a resource for the work of an international network of artists and researchers with interests in non-human otherness, encompassing animal, plant and mineral alterity.
