This is a collection of 'thinking skills' words, collated into types of cognitive process, known as "PLTS" in the 2008 revisions to the National Curriculum in mainstream schools. It refers to Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills. These skills were a framework developed by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England, and embedded within the national curriculum to promote broader learning and development beyond subject-specific content. The framework outlined six key areas: independent enquirers, creative thinkers, reflective learners, team workers, self-managers, and effective participants. These have even colour coded and included in an A4 sheet intended to be laminated as a 'placemat' for students to refer to and develop an understanding of what skills they are using.
